Guardians of Ga'hoole:The Capture

The Capture is book 1 of a 15 book series ,by: Kathryn Lasky, that's about an barn owl named Soren. him and his mother Merella, his father Noctus, his older brother Kludd,his younger sister Eglantine, and his nast-maid snake Mrs.P. One day when his parents were hunting, Kludd pushes Soren out of the nest and on to the hard forest ground. Soren can't fly yet and will die if he can't get back up to the nest in the high tree. Suddenly a huge owl sweeps down and takes him to a horrible place known as St.Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls. There you are given a number insted of your name until you earn a new one. Soren meets a elf owl named Gylfie. Soren and Gylfil try not to be "moon-blinked" by sleeping at night. To avoid it they whisper the legends of Ga'hoole to each other. They find an owl that saves eggs from the academy. She inspires them to lean to fly and get out. When they do they find an owl named Twilight who joines them in finding the great Ga'hoole Tree. When they pass though the desert they meet a bburrowing owl named Digger (i think that's just sad). Some owls from St. Aegolius show up and fight these owls.
